You must have an appropriate vehicle for the collection. For a shipping container, you will need a suitable lorry that can carry its size and weight, for example a 20ft x 8ft container weighs 2.1 tonnes. If you are collecting a flatpack unit, you will require a suitably-sized flatbed or trailer to allow for safe loading using our forklift.

The Portable Space armoured brass bodied container padlock has been designed for use with the lockboxes fitted to the complete range of shipping containers, this includes 8ft, 10ft, 20ft and 40ft used and one trip containers. Please remember if you have an open-sided container or double-end door (tunnel) container you will need 2 padlocks per container. We believe that the padlock will also fit all standard lockboxes normally fitted to used and one trip shipping containers and we provide a 30 day no quibble money back service if in the unlikely event that the padlock does not fit a shipping container lockbox and you return the lock to us.
The main feature of the lock is the 5-pin cylinder which offers excellent pick resistance, the fully shrouded design is further protected by the container lockbox when fitted to the shipping container. With a weight of 0.88kg this is a heavy-duty lock and the combination of these features gives excellent security and protects against bolt cutters and other attempts to access your storage container. With 1500 key variations you have added peace of mind that your valuables are safe.
The standard padlock includes 3 keys and is also available as keyed alike. Keyed alike allows you to order multiple padlocks that can be opened by a single key and is a very useful time-saving feature when you have many containers or locks in use. It makes it very simple to find the right key the first time every time.
The advantages and features of the lockbox also make it an ideal choice for a wide range of other applications around your business or organisation, including roller shutter doors, warehouses, gates and industrial units, with the added advantage that these can also be keyed alike if required. The padlock is maintenance free although we do recommend spraying from time to time with a silicon based spray especially when used in an exposed or marine environment. You can add a can of the spray as an accessory at checkout.
The shackle is a hardened steel with an 11mm diameter, a horizontal shackle clearance of 29mm and a vertical clearance of 15mm. The lock measures 80mm long and 30mm wide
